About The Hike Club for Men

My buddy Keith and I started the Hike Club for men in 1999 as a way to get out of the house and away from the burdens of home life. This was a way we could get out and work though some troubles we were having at the time.

It was something I had heard when going to college in that men need the company of other men where they can talk and be free to say what they want without any judgement. They need friends who they can confide in and will not share with the world what they hear.

We managed at one time to get several guys coming out on a regular basis but, as like sometimes happens we had kids and time for getting out was deprioritized and the group died off. Well we never fully lost track of the idea and would try to revive it from time to time and was usually just my self and Keith.

With some massive change in my life in the last year I have found I have more time to devote to this and also since my boys are starting to approach the teen years they need some help.

The world today and has been for the last decade (I just did not notice) is massively anti-male and you hear all kinds of crap about so called “Toxic Masculinity” well we need to band together as men to deal with this crap and to teach our young sons what it means to be a Man.

The Goals of “The Hike Club for Men” are:

A place for Men to be Men

Share knowledge with other men and boy’s

Create and strengthen Friendships

Fresh air and exercise

If you’ve ever failed at reaching any goal in life, the problem could all be in your mind. That’s how important your mindset is. Your mind is your most powerful force. The stories you tell yourself and the things you believe about yourself can either prevent change from happening or allow new ideas to blossom.

A mindset is a set of assumptions, methods, or notations that is so established that it creates a powerful incentive within you to continue to adopt or accept prior behaviours, choices, or tools. It’s so powerful that it affects every decision making processes. It predetermines your responses and interpretations of situations.

You can’t outsmart your mindset!

An effective and success driven mindset is one that makes the best use of all your available resources — your time, energy, opportunities, etc. A positive mindset can translate into a world of difference regardless of the goal you seek.

If you’ve ever failed at reaching any goal in life, the problem could all be in your mind. That’s how important your mindset is. Your mind is your most powerful force.

Your mindset can influence your reaction and response to the many opportunities and obstacles s you encounter in your lifetime.

You can succeed in changing your mindset. But it takes hard work. And it is time well spent. Mind is a flexible mirror, adjust it to see a better world” says Amit Ray.

Bruce Lee once said “success comes to those who become success-conscious. If you don’t aim at an object, how the heck on earth do you think you can get it?” If you have nothing to think about, or no imagination of what you expect in life, you won’t go far. You will merely exist, doing what others expect of you.
